Four years in the UAE

is coming to an end

What little was initially known

that I would never have been able to comprehend

the vast difference my life would be

once the final flight would descend

I have traveled far and wide

to Sri Lanka, India, Turkey, Cyprus and France

but only in the UAE

could I actually find romance

I met the man of my dreams

who put me in a hypnotic trance

On April 4th, WE decided to marry

in an Abu Dhabi court that almost turned us away

Celebrated with friends next to sand and sea

and slept in a suite that only a Royal could pay

Nine months later, a blessing was born

Our dear baby Ethan, arrived on Christmas Day

Now here we are, about to say our final farewell

but its not very easy to close these doors

to the friends who became like family

and the gorgeous UAE shores

We are starting a new chapter, USA here we come

We are hoping for more beautiful stories that can be added to our memoirs
